Dr Gholizadeh graduated with a PhD in Engineering from Macquarie University. Her research involves the development of novel nasal formulations for direct nose-to-brain drug delivery with a focus on bridging the gap between preclinical in vitro studies and clinical tests of nasal drugs and respirable aerosols via engineering solutions. Dr Gholizadeh’s research interests encompass the development and application of organ-on-a-chip devices as physiologically relevant platforms for in vitro drug tests and incorporating analytical tools for real-time monitoring of their microenvironments and drug analysis.
