Dr Jahan graduated with a PhD from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and is a researcher at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. She is also a Visiting Scientist at Garvan Medical Research Institute. She has a research interest in colon and lung cancer research especially in regulation of DNA damage responses and DNA repair defects in these cancers. Her expertise is mainly in molecular and cell biology especially PCR, Western blotting, animal cell culture and flow cytometry. Dr Jahan also is an active member of the Woolcock Institute and Sydney Catalyst.
