Dr Yeung graduated with a PhD from The University of New South Wales. She is a researcher with the Respiratory Cellular and Molecular Biology group at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, and an honorary affiliate of the Respiratory Biology and Molecular Biology group at the University of Technology Sydney.
Dr Yeung's research interests include particle exposure in the lungs with a focus on occupational dust diseases such as silicosis, utilising advanced cellular models to study the effects of particle exposure. Dr Yeung has a fellowship from the iCare Dust Diseases Board and is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, European Respiratory Society and is part of the Woolcock's Development Committee.
