Andrea Efthymiou is an AHPRA registered general psychologist and clinical psychology registrar. She has completed an Honours degree in Psychology and a Master of Clinical Psychology. Here at the Woolcock, Andrea offers psychological intervention for a range of sleep disturbances and comorbid difficulties, including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, pain, and perfectionism.

Andrea is a psychologist who is very passionate about offering evidence-based support in an individualised manner. Building on her experiences working with individuals across the lifespan in private practice, multidisciplinary, and school settings, Andrea considers the intersection of biopsychosocial factors, as well as cultural and personality factors, to understand each client holistically.

Therapy will involve a thorough initial consultation, through which Andrea will work collaboratively with each client to best understand their goals and devise a suitable treatment plan. She draws from a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Above all, she hopes to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship. She has experience in adapting therapy for neurodiverse clients.
