Brain organoids  - A safe way to test drugs on human brain tissue

OBJECTIVE: There are two objectives to this research.

The first objective of this project is to establish a brain organoid model to be used to complement clinical and basic research within the CCDA. This objective and the ensuing research will be carried out by Dr Dia Xenaki, the senior postdoctoral fellow of the CCDA.

The second objective is to create an in-vitro model of the lung brain axis which will form the basis of Dr Lu Liu’s PhD project.
